Are New Yorkers all cold blood?

After been here in New York for three weeks, I found something interesting on subway.

Maybe not all New Yorkers are so cold blood, just because sometimes there’re not so safe in New York City, and people came from different countries, all over the world. So people will arm by being cool in order to protect themselves.

I know that because I’m doing that, too. on the subway, especially at midnight, I always be cool, no smile, keep looking somewhere on the ground, avoid making eye contact with anyone, and seems everybody doing that, and sometimes it’s the same on the streets.

I think that’s why New Yorker seem so cold blood, just in my opinion, a little thought when I took the subway home at 1:30 AM.
